Water on Paper

Pamela Montgomery, Watercolorist

The Wagnalls Memorial Foundation is proud to feature self-taught watercolor artist, Pamela Montgomery,  in our new local artist gallery. Pamela’s art work captures her love for traditional settings. Living in the country in a historical brick home overlooking a nature preserve, has inspired her work. She is taken by the memories and stories shared of the “old days” – a more peaceful, quite time when people worked together and spent time sharing life.

Gallery Two – Local Artists Showcase

MAY 20, 2021 – May 29, 2021

The visual images Pamela creates with watercolors give new life to structures which she considers monuments to our past. Many hours of concentrated painting capture the exquisite detail of chosen subjects.

Her primary subject matter depicts historical structures, rural settings, and old-fashioned barns. Even though they may be abandoned or in various stages of disrepair, they grace our landscape with character and history.

The Gallery will be open in conjunction with our Norman Rockwell Exhibit on Thursdays from 4pm – 8pm and Saturdays from 10am – 2pm.

“…delightfully refreshing, especially since the work is so well conceived and executed”. – The Columbus Dispatch

Pamela’s work has won many awards and has exhibited in numerous juried, group, and solo shows throughout Central Ohio. She has sold many of her paintings and commission pieces to private and corporate collections, locally and throughout the United States.

Available for purchase are limited edition/signed and numbered reproductions, original watercolor paintings, note cards and original hand-painted ornaments on old slate.
